You aren't fighting off against too many strange variations of well-known dinosaur types, but the game has some absurd visuals, such as a waterfall of raptors pouring in from a portal. Instead, the game plays out more like Capcom's take on the Earth Defense Force series, with dinosaurs replacing the giant bugs. If you haven't seen any of the trailers for Exoprimal yet, you may think that you're going into a game that's like Lost Planet 2 but with dinosaurs instead of frozen aliens. The company has previously tried this with Lost Planet 2, which took the alien-blasting original and transformed it into something similar to Monster Hunter. The long-running series has become something of a global hit thanks to the thrill of hunting down large monsters the titles require good coordination, weapon selection, and a bit of luck to take down the beasts with a party by your side. Players can at least try before they buy when Exoprimal's open beta starts on March 16.When you talk about Capcom and team-based multiplayer, the thing that comes to most people's minds is Monster Hunter. If the $60 price point is too expensive for a purchase, then Xbox Game Pass may be a more affordable option. Other details shared during the event include a trio of Exosuit skins offered as a pre-order bonus and a re-confirmation that Exoprimal will be available as a Day One Xbox Game Pass release. The first season of the premium Survival Pass will reward 19 different Exosuit skins, 10 weapon skins, as well as several emotes, decals, stamps, and more. It features both a free track, available for all Exoprimal players, and a premium track, featuring a significant amount of extra cosmetic awards. The battle pass, dubbed the Survival Pass in Exoprimal, is exactly what one would expect. For the higher price, Exoprimal buyers will receive a Heart Start Kit featuring three skins and the first Survival Pass premium unlock. The Deluxe Edition of Exoprimal will cost an additional $10, for a total of $69.99. The standard edition of the game will be offered for $59.99 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S. With Exoprimal still four months away from launch, a beta opening up in just one week is quite a surprise.Įxoprimal's Deluxe Edition was also announced. The beta will include new classes missing from the closed beta that was shown in the Exoprimal Capcom Spotlight trailer. Players will be able to try Exoprimal for themselves starting March 17, with the beta lasting through the weekend and ending March 19.
